Ithaca, 22 January 10 -- After two months of road games, non-conference play, and holiday down-time, Cornell University's men's ice hockey team returns to action on their home ice at Lynah Rink tonight and tomorrow with two games against the University of North Dakota. After splitting a pair of contests at Ralph Engelstad Arena early last season, the Big Red look forward to their rematch against the Fighting Sioux.

North Dakota is fresh from a tie and a loss last Friday and Saturday nights at Minnesota; Saturday's loss snapped a five-game unbeaten streak. It's the team's first visit to Ithaca. In addition to their meetings in Grand Forks fourteen months ago, the squads have met three times in NCAA tournament play.

The Big Red, on the other hand, have posted two wins and a tie since the beginning of 2010, after dropping a pair at the Florida College Classic at the end of December. They earned a 5-2 win in their visit to the University of New Hampshire at the beginning of January, and snapped an eight-game losing streak in the North Country by beating Clarkson and tying St. Lawrence last weekend despite the effects of a stomach bug that struck the team earlier in the week.

Cornell is coming into the home stretch, with a pair of games every weekend from here on out. Following the UND matchups, Cornell will host St. Lawrence and Clarkson in Ithaca next weekend before returning to the road against Quinnipiac and Princeton.

Tonight's game against UND will be televised by Time Warner Cable Sports. It will be available on Ithaca's cable lineup on Channel 26. Outside of Ithaca, check with your Time Warner Cable operator to see if they're carrying the game; the telecasts are generally available to operators across the state.
