One-day auction to support United Way campaign has some great Ithaca and Cornell prizes

Want to bid on a once-in-a-lifetime experience, a behind-the-scenes tour, a great local gift, or even a meal with Ezra Cornell or Mayor Myrick, while helping local causes? A one-day auction to support the United Way of Tompkins County campaign ends at midnight tonight.

A home-cooked pasta dinner. Brunch or dinner at Taverna Banfi in the Statler Hotel. Even a "foodie experience" for you and up to 14 friends with Cornell Dining's culinary team.

Exclusive tour opportunities include Cornell's heat and power plant, the Johnson Museum of Art, the Wilson Synchrotron, the Cornell Library's Rare Vault, and a tour of the New York State Capitol in Albany.

There are handcrafted earings by Standra Jewelry, signed jerseys from several Cornell Big Red sports teams, gift baskets from the Cornell Store and Cornell Dairy Bar, even a Cornell Sheep Blanket.

The auction ends at midnight tonight, and 100% of winning bids will benefit the United Way of Tompkins County.
