Good news! Mr. Sprague was found on Friday afternoon in Pennsylvania. He is safe and uninjured with authorities and his family has been notified.
The Tompkins County Sheriff's Office says he was spotted walking on a road in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, and residents notified local law enforcement. He identified himself to officers, who were able to determine that he was missing from Tompkins County. "At this time it is unknown why Sprague was in the central Pennsylvania region," says the statement.
The Tompkins County Sheriff's Office has issued a Missing Person Alert for 81-year-old David Sprague, missing since Thursday afternoon. As of Friday morning, the Sheriff's Department say he is still missing and may be in need of medical attention.
David Sprague, missing since Thursday.Mr. Sprague may have been last seen in the Cayuga Heights area at about 2:30pm Thursday, driving a four-door light brown or tan 2010 Buick LaCrosse, with a special sailboat license plate 182ACL. His last confirmed location was the Ithaca Walmart store at 10:04am Thursday.
The missing man suffers from dementia, and the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office asks that anyone with information about his whereabouts call 607-272-2444 or 911. He is 5'11" tall, weighs about 185 pounds, and is balding with white hair. He is not carrying identification with him; his wallet is at home.

The Project Lifesaver team is using tracking equipment, which can sense the bracelet if it's within a mile, to try to locate the missing man.
Before moving to Cayuga Heights, in the Ithaca area, Mr. Sprague was a resident of Union Springs for 16 years, and could be in that area.
