Missing Syracuse teen walks into police station

January 8, 2013

A Syracuse girl reported missing last week walked into a police station yesterday afternoon, her sister says. 15-year-old Jessica Clarke, a resident of Elmcrest Children's Center in Syracuse, had last been seen on December 29th.

Jessica's sister, Rosa, who had taken to Facebook last week to plea for help finding her sister, says Jessica "is taking the first step in reaching out for help." She thanked "everyone who has sent their love and support and generously shared their time to spread the word to help bring her home."

Police had come to believe Jessica was headed to the Utica area with another girl, name Ebone.

Jessica's mother, Ika Klapan, added her thanks last week "to everyone out there who is helping my family search for my daughter."
