Cornell men's ice hockey returns to Lynah Rink this weekend after nearly a two-month absence, and hopes for a win tonight to counter the memory of their last nationally televised home game, a loss to Harvard in mid November. The Big Red's game vs Yale tonight starts at 7:30pm on NBC Sports Network.
Cornell takes on Yale tonight at Lynah. 14850 Photo. It's been a tough couple of months for the Big Red since that Harvard game, featuring just five wins in ten games. One of the wins was Cornell's first in decades at Madison Square Garden, as the Red beat up on Michigan to take a 5-1 victory at the Frozen Apple game on Thanksgiving weekend.
This month, Cornell posted a pair of losses at Denver and split last weekend's Capital District road trip, with a thrilling come-from-behind win at Union followed by a deflating loss at Rensselaer, giving the Engineers just their third league win of the season.

Sophomore Cole Bardreau was slammed into the boards in the first period on a play that saw RPI's Greg Burgdoerfer penalized with a five-minute major and a game misconduct for hitting from behind. Bardreau, back in the lineup after a gold-medal stint with Team USA in the World Juniors, played the rest of the game before discovering Monday that he had a neck fracture that will end his season.
Cornell is now in its home stretch, coming into its second of seven straight weekends of league play with an 8-7-2 overall record, 4-4-2 in ECAC action. After facing the Bulldogs, who are 5-1-1 over their last seven games and 11-4-3 on the season, Cornell will host Brown on Saturday at 7.

They're 14-4 overall, 10-2 in league play, and will next be home against Mercyhurst next Tuesday night.
