January 25, 2015 by Mark H. Anbinder

Cornell University says a pedestrian who was struck by a car on Route 96 early Saturday morning, sustaining fatal injuries, was senior Oluchukwu Onuora. The 23-year-old Olu, as he was known, had been studying in the Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management in Cornell's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

Sheriff's deputies reported the accident occurred just north of the City of Ithaca at almost 4am Saturday. The student was transported to Cayuga Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.

Cornell's Dyson School has planned a community support meeting for 5pm on Tuesday, January 27th, in Room 102 of Mann Library on Cornell's Ag Quad. All members of the community are welcome.
