Downtown Ithaca store relocations mean a huge winter sale this weekend

January 31, 2014 by Karla Lopez

Two popular boutiques on the Downtown Ithaca Commons, not usually known for thrift-store prices, are currently having an unreal clearance sale. But not because they’re closing down permanently. Cue the Billy Joel, because Avanti and Evolution 102 are moving out!

Evolution, currently on the edge of the Commons on its west side, is moving to Avanti’s current location near Green Street, while Avanti relocates next door to 115 South Cayuga Street.

In an attempt to make their load lighter for the moves, they’re practically giving away all their dresses, blouses, shoes, handbags, and accessories. We’re talking 50 to 80 percent off. Not to mention they’re adding another 20% discount as a part of Downtown Ithaca Alliance’s Winter Sale event today through Sunday.

They say the best time to snag a good deal on something is when it’s out of season, and this sale is no exception. Take advantage of the move and stock your closet with summer dresses while they’re hot! Well, sort of.

Both Avanti and Evolution are open today and tomorrow from noon to 6pm, and Sunday from noon to 5.
