Tompkins County SPCA reaches out for baby food donations

February 11, 2014

Sick animals need to eat, but are often unable to chew or digest the pet foods that make up their usual diets. The SPCA of Tompkins County feeds meat-based baby food to animals in its infirmary, and they've run out.

The SPCA is looking for baby food donations. Got any sitting around? The SPCA is looking for baby food donations. Got any sitting around? The SPCA is asking community members to donate meat varieties of baby food that contain no onion or garlic. Gerber baby food is a good choice; Beechnut products often contain onion.

Donations may be dropped off at the SPCA adoption center or rescue building at 1640 Hanshaw Road or at the SPCA Annex at the Shops at Ithaca Mall. Gerber baby food at Amazon may be shipped as a gift, as well. (Don't bother with the gift wrap! The kitties love the boxes as it is.)
