February 14th may be Valentine's Day, but even more importantly for Central New Yorkers, it's the day camping tickets go on sale for this summer's GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance. Camping tickets go on sale at midnight tonight, and on-site camping generally sells out within a couple of days.
Camping at the GrassRoots Festival. The popular summer music festival, held at the Trumansburg Fairgrounds over the course of a four-day weekend in the middle of July, offers a variety of camping options. On-site options include a four-person tent spot for $90 or a vehicle camping spot (which includes a tent pass) for $155. Off-site camping spots allow a vehicle and up to two tents, and cost $125.
Festival admission and camping are sold separately. All camping passes are to accommodate a maximum of four people per site, and anyone purchasing camping must be 18 years of age. Anyone under 18 must be camping with a parent or guardian.
