Greek Peak ski resort introduces new owners after reorganization

March 22, 2013

Greek Peak Ski Resort, which sought bankruptcy protection after its lender, Tennessee Commerce Bank, was closed by the FDIC, announced today that Marc Stemerman and John Meier will be the resort's new owners. A bankruptcy judge approved the Elmira businessmen's 6.76 million dollar bid yesterday.

Stemerman and Meier say they are both longtime Greek Peak customers. Operations have continued this season despite the financial constraints, and Greek Peak plans to begin selling season passes for the 2013-2014 ski season in early April.

Greek Peak says another few inches of snow last night, making for a total of about ten inches on the mountain, should make for greak skiing and snowboarding conditions this weekend.
