A man who had stopped in downtown Ithaca reported that he had been released several miles away after being driven out of town by carjackers.

Police say Morris was "arrested without incident" in the 200 block of East State Street, not far from the West State Street site of the incident nearly two weeks ago. Morris and an as-yet-unidentified male suspect are alleged to have robbed the victim at gunpoint, driven him out of town, and stolen his 2005 Volvo SUV.

Morris was remanded to the Tompkins County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bail bond, and is due back in Ithaca City Court on April 15th.
