Los Angeles Kings to honor Chris Bordoni before tonight's NHL playoff game

April 18, 2012

Family members of Corporal Christopher Bordoni, the U.S. Marine from Ithaca who was laid to rest with full military honors last week, will be on hand tonight as the Los Angeles Kings face the Vancouver Canucks in Game 4 of the first-round NHL playoff series. Cpl. Bordoni's wife Jessica, father Tim, and brother Casey will be recognized in a pregame ceremony.

Bordoni by marriage, is an Ithaca High School graduate who tallied 70 points in just two seasons with the Little Red. A strong forward, Brown totaled 204 points in three seasons with the Guelph Storm in Ontario before being signed by the Los Angeles Kings. He played with Team USA in the 2004 and 2008 World Championships, and was named to the U.S. Olympic men's ice hockey team in 2010.

Brown has already scored four goals through three games of the best-of-7 series against Vancouver. He scored an empty-net goal in Game 1 to cement the Kings victory, posted two short-handed goals in Game 2, and scored the only goal in Sunday afternoon's game for the win.

Tonight's 10pm EDT game will be televised on NBC Sports Network, available locally on Time Warner Cable on channels 59 (SD) and 803 (HD).
