Volunteers will be split into groups and sent out to a variety of work sites to help with cleaning, raking, mulching, flower bed gardening, planting, removing brush, and similar activities. The 9am opening ceremonies will feature a special guest speaker, according to Schreiber.

The Ithaca Youth Council is a self-directed group of local teens who represent youth to City government and advocate for youth throughout the community. It's a collaborative effort of the Ithaca Youth Bureau, Greater Ithaca Activities Center, and the Southside Community Center.
