Ithaca police say they are looking for Clifton McBean in connection with an incident on South Plain Street last night in which multiple shots were fired, leaving a victim wounded. The investigation stemmed from officers responding to "multiple calls" reporting shots fired in the area of South Plain Street and Cleveland Avenue.

On interviewing the victim at the hospital, officers learned that the victim and shooter knew each other, and identified the suspect as Clifton McBean. The victim, who sustained two gunshot wounds, was transferred to a regional trauma center.
