Ithaca police say Clifton McBean, who was a suspect in a shooting incident Monday evening on Ithaca's southside, turned himself in on Thursday afternoon. The 22-year-old Ithaca man was arraigned in Ithaca City Court.

Photo provided by IPD.Police officers responded early Monday evening to "multiple calls" reporting shots fired in the area of South Plain Street and Cleveland Avenue, and learned a man had been shot and taken by private vehicle to the hospital. An investigation determined that the shooter and victim knew each other, and led police to seek McBean.
After he turned himself in, McBean was arraigned on charges of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, and reckless endangerment in the first degree. An IPD spokesman declined to comment on the condition of the victim, who sustained two gunshot wounds and was transferred to a regional trauma center on Monday night.
