After his car is stolen from his Fall Creek street, an Ithaca resident turns to social media for help

Ed Lisbe spent Friday night at the Haunt, enjoying his son Daniel's performance with the Gunpoets, then parked right by his house on Linn Street. When he got up Saturday morning, his Subaru Impreza was gone.

The Lisbes say the car's a little more beat up now than in the picture. Photo provided. The Lisbes say the car's a little more beat up now than in the picture. Photo provided.Daniel Lisbe, known as Rising Sun on stage, has reached out to his large social media following to ask Ithaca residents to keep an eye out for the car. "There's a couple dents and some rust, and an I ♥ Gunpoets sticker on the back bumper," he tells us.

The car, which was parked on the 500 block of Linn Street in Ithaca's Fall Creek neighborhood, is a red 1997 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport hatchback with New York license plate FDL4274.

The Lisbes hope "someone probably took it for a joyride and stashed it somewhere," and Daniel says, "Please keep your eyes peeled as you travel about the town and country over the next few days and weeks."

They ask anyone who spots the car, or who might know what happened to it, to contact the Ithaca Police Department. Call police dispatch at 607-272-3245, the administration line at 607-272-9973, or the Crimestoppers Tipline at 607-697-0333, or use the anonymous online tip form.
