Tompkins County says Route 13 south of Ithaca has reopened this morning. Both Route 13 and 13A were closed due to flooding last night, and 13A was cleared Sunday evening. Route 96B south of Ithaca is open, though the county says some portions are down to one lane. A detour remains in effect between Coddington Road and Prospect Street on South Hill.

Routes 34 and 96 are closed near the Newfield/Danby town line due to severe bridge damage.

Newfield firefighters called in the Ithaca Fire Department to assist in evacuating the Shelter Valley trailer park Sunday evening, after discovering the last road in and out of the community had been overtaken by flood water. IFD crews responded with boats and water rescue equipment and helped evacuate families to a shelter at Newfield's high school.

Monday should bring a reprieve from the rainy weather, though Tuesday and Thursday will bring additional rain, which may be heavy at times.
