Vote Watkins Glen International as the best NASCAR track, urges Senator Chuck Schumer

New York's senior senator, Chuck Schumer, is an unapologetic booster for the Empire State, and this week he's reminding residents there are a few days left to vote for Watkins Glen International in USA Today's Reader Choice contest for best NASCAR track.

NASCAR at Watkins Glen International photo courtesy of at Watkins Glen International photo courtesy of is open at until 11:59am this coming Monday, June 22nd, giving fans the chance to vote for their favorite among the 20 NASCAR venues selected by USA Today's panel of experts from the two dozen tracks across the nation that host NASCAR events. Visitors to the site can vote once each day.

As of this writing, Watkins Glen International leads the pack, with Virginia's Martinsville Speedway, Michigan International Speedway, and Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee the next closest contenders. "Six days left to vote," reminded Schumer on his official Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon.

"Each track makes for its own unique racing style and fan experience, and we want to know your favorite place to watch a race," say USA Today's editors.
