Business Bootcamp program for girls being hosted at Cornell's Johnson School

June 25, 2015 by Beverly Wallenstein

Girls will have an opportunity to learn how to make their entrepreneurial ideas profitable thanks to an exciting new Business Program sponsored by the Johnson School's Office of Diversity and Inclusion at Cornell University. Local entrepreneurs, along with Cornell faculty and students, will teach girls 13 to 18 years old how to start their own business and make it successful.

The event, hosted on July 9th at the Johnson Graduate School of Management, will have participants work in teams to develop a business plan, and at the end of the day, teams will give a short business pitch.

Girls will wear business casual attire for the day and will have the opportunity to hone their networking skills at a formal networking dinner following the program.

The cost for the full day, including lunch and dinner is $25, and sponsorships are available. Spots are limited, and the deadline to apply is July 1st. More information is available at www.cornellbusinessbootcamp.com or by e-mailing baw235@cornell.edu.
