Photos provided by IPD.A release from IPD on Saturday says responding officers arrived at the apartment complex at 150 West Village Place and located a male victim who had been shot in the leg. Police officers applied a tourniquet and determined that the victim had "gotten into an altercation with at least two people just prior to being shot."

The suspects fled before police arrived, but the police statement says "Officers are looking for two 'persons of interest' regarding this incident." They have identified James "Pip" Marshall and Rashidali Brown, and say Brown has five warrants pending on assorted charges.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries, and police say the firearm used has not been located.

IPD asks that anyone who might have seen the incident, knows the whereabouts of these individuals, knows where the weapon used in the shooting might be, or with other information that might aid their investigation, contact them through police dispatch at 607-272-3245, the administration line at 607-272-9973, the Crimestoppers Tipline at 607-697-0333, or the anonymous online tip form.
