Ithaca lawyer Ray Schlather re-appointed to TC3 board by Governor Cuomo

Tompkins Cortland Community College announced today that TC3 Board of Trustees member Ray Schlather has been re-appointed to the board by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. Schlather has served since 2008.

He said in a statement that he's honored to be part of "such a dynamic institution" as the college. "TC3 plays a vital role in the educational, cultural, and economic development of this region."

The Cornell Law School graduate has also served on the City of Ithaca's Common Council and Board of Public Works, and is a past president of the Tompkins County Bar Association.

"With our student body drawn from across the spectrum, our dedicated staff, and our innovative leadership, we make a real difference at many levels in this part of the world," he says.

TC3's Board of Trustees is made up of appointees selected by the county legislatures of Tompkins and Cortland Counties, a student elected by the student body, and four trustees appointed by the Governor. Schlather's second term runs through June 2022.
