Cornell Police arrest man for lewd behavior on campus

August 10, 2015 by Rachel Cera

A 22-year-old man was arrested by the Cornell University Police Department after investigating a report of lewd behavior on campus two weeks ago, according to a CUPD press release.

Cornell says a woman walking on Cradit Farm Drive on the university's north campus on the evening of July 27th was approached by "a white male with a bald head and believed to be 20 to 30 years of age," who was in a vehicle and asked her for directions. She reported that she was able to observe that the man was masturbating in the vehicle. She walked away, but the driver of the vehicle turned around and drove past again, still masturbating, according to the report.

Investigators following up were able to identify the operator of the vehicle as 22-year-old Bradley P. Hannula of Spencer. CUPD says Hannula admitted to the incident when interviewed. He has been charged with public lewdness, a class A misdemeanor, and released. He has a court date in Ithaca City Court on August 26.
