Firefighters will give kids balloons, fire helmets, and school supplies.

In addition to fire truck rides, kids and their families can enjoy fire extinguisher demonstrations, fire hoses spraying water, and a fire safety obstacle course. In the event of rain, the free event will be held on Sunday, August 18th.

"The firefighters look forward to spending the day with the people they protect," says Firefighter Chris Hamilton, this year's event organizer.
