One of the pair of one-lane bridges connecting the East Hill area to the Northeast has reopened to traffic following a delay. The Tompkins County Highway Division has completed work on the bridge connecting two segments of Forest Home Drive near the Cornell veterinary school.

The other bridge across Fall Creek in the Forest Home area is near the north end of Judd Falls Road.
The bridge trestle was set alongside Caldwell Road for the nearly ten-month process of rebuilding the structure and roadbed, and moved back into place recently. County officials say some landscaping and other finishing work remain to be done, but they wanted to get the bridge open in time for Cornell University's opening weekend. Freshmen arrived on campus last Friday.
The county's project to rebuild Hanshaw Road from the Sapsucker Woods area in the Town of Ithaca to the border of Cayuga Heights has also been delayed. The road is open one way eastbound until the project, which was to have been finished earlier in August, is completed.
