Traveling between Ithaca and NYC on ShortLine? Your gates at Port Authority are changing!

September 8, 2015 by Rachel Cera

Travel between Ithaca and New York City a lot? If you get to Port Authority and find your bus's departure gate on autopilot, you might find yourself on a bus to New Jersey! Starting today, ShortLine's buses are all leaving from gates on the fourth floor.

The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey says they are rearranging departure gates for six of the 21 bus lines that serve the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City's Times Square. Coach USA's ShortLine service, which operates routes that serve Ithaca, is one of those.

ShortLine's daily service to Binghamton and Ithaca will generally leave from Gate 401. All of their routes will now be departing from Gates 401-409.

The gate shuffle is primarily so all of NJ TRANSIT's buses can leave from the 3rd floor, and all changes are effective as of 6am on Tuesday, September 8.
