October 9, 2014 by 14850 Happenings

The authors of "Ithaca Radio," a new book that delves into the history of radio in the Ithaca area, will be appearing at two events in town this week.

Brothers Peter King Steinhaus and Rick Sommers Steinhaus, themselves both "alumni" of Ithaca's radio culture, will speak at Buffalo Street Books in Downtown Ithaca at 6pm on Thursday, October 9th, and at The History Center at 1pm on Saturday, October 11th.

"From the Greaseman to Keith Olbermann, Ithaca was the launch pad for numerous successful careers in music, talk, news, business, and satellite radio," says the publisher's description. The book is full of vintage photos from Ithaca's radio history. Copies are available at Buffalo Street Books, in the Dewitt Mall.
