Sunrise Rotary spaghetti dinner to raise funds for BOCES and youth programs now at Boynton MS

November 6, 2015 by Mark H. Anbinder

It's the 29th annual Sunrise Rotary Spaghetti Dinner, and despite a scramble this morning to find a new venue after a power outage forced school officials to close Ithaca High School, the fundraiser will go on with a new venue: Boynton Middle School.

Organizers call it "a real community event," a collaboration of members of Ithaca's Sunrise Rotary Club, students from the TST BOCES Culinary and Pastry Arts program, Boy Scout Troop #4, and the Cornell Rotaract Club, working to pull together the event. It will raise money for the BOCES scholarship fund and other Rotary Club youth projects.

The menu includes spaghetti with vegetarian or meat sauce, salad, garlic bread, and brownies with ice cream. There's a gluten-free pasta option, and dinners are available to dine in or to go, for $10 for adults and $5 for kids ages 5-12.

The Running to Places Theatre Company will provide entertainment during the meal, which is scheduled for 5-7pm on Friday, November 6th.
