Ludgate family announces sale of Ludgate Farms

December 16, 2010

About two months after announcing they were looking to sell their popular, locavore-focused farm market to "new owners with youthful enthusiasm," the Ludgate family says they've found new owners for Ludgate Farms. In an e-mail to customers and friends, Michael Ludgate says the business, which began as a farm stand in 1973, is being sold to the Quinn-Jacobs family.

Ludgate says the new owners, who will officially take over the business on January 3rd, have brought on Betsy Appleton as a "general manager-in-residence."
