Photo courtesy of IFD.Slaterville Ambulance and the Brooktondale Fire Department were first on the scene, and called in Ithaca Fire Department for assistance upon discovering a Jeep on its roof with the driver trapped inside. IFD sent a fire engine and heavy rescue unit up east hill.

Crews worked to free the driver, who was trapped upside-down, still in her seat belt, and called in a Guthrie Air medevac helicopter. The woman was freed from the Jeep in less than an hour, transported by Slaterville ambulance to the landing zone at the Brooktondale fire station, and then flown to Robert Packer Medical Center for treatment.

The missing dog is described as a black and white male Shepherd mix, who may of course be injured. We understand the dog's name may be Bailey. He was last seen on Route 79 near Landon Road, running toward the Rosebarb Farm. Anyone who finds or sees the dog should call Tompkins County Animal Control at 607-257-1822.
